Free voip is free to use with most adsl packages that are available. So therefore, you are still chatting via your internet which you have already paid for this being the theory of the IP Phone.

It does seem to be a cheaper way of having a conversation if you have adsl at home, but it is definitely not the same as talking via a web cam, which guzzles your bandwidth superfast.

So there is really no free voip, because you have already paid for the services that you have installed. If you are trying to make free voip calls you will soon find out that it does not cost much, as you may have to load some airtime to use anyway, but the calls are charged at such a low rate, but your bandwidth does decrease while you are doing your so called free voip call.

The thing is that if you receive calls while you are on your PC, but for the person really calling, nothing is free!
